Big Bend National Park

Should you be looking for some outdoor fun in Texas, take a little detour and head to Big Bend National Park. This vast and rugged national park features three distinct ecosystems, endless views and beautiful landscapes. Named after the huge left-turn the Rio Grande makes through the desert in Texas, the Big Bend National Park is least visited, giving charter bus visitors the feeling of having the whole park to themselves.
The geography of the park is divided to desertmountain and river. Most part of the park is part of theChihuahuan Desert, and the Rio Grande flows from the south and east, passing through the park before reaching the Gulf of Mexico.

Watch Texas The Musical at the Canyon

If you are planning your charter bus trip to Texas, you should take this opportunity to head over to Palo Duro Canyon just outside of Canyon, Texas. It is quite a drive from Texas City as it would take about10 hours on the road using the I-45 and US-287 N, while from Dallas, it would take about 5 hours on the road using the US-287 N route. However, if you would take a charter bus, you don’t have to worry about the drive since all you need to do is just sit back and relax, or even take a nap while the bus driver takes you to your destination safely.
Now, at the outdoor Pioneer Amphitheater in Palo Duro Canyon, you can catch the famous Texas the Musical, a stage musical produced annually for the past 40 years or more. A must-see for both adults and children!

Tubing Along in Texas Tubes

Texas Tubes is an extremely fun way to spend a couple of hours of your time here during your bus rental Texas vacation. Being an extremely family-friendly vacation hotspot means that there will be crowds during summer months so, be sure to book your time here ahead of time. The Texas Tubes is accessible via public and private transportation so, wait no longer, find time to bring yourself to the shoreline of Comal River for the time of your life. Read on for reviews and details about Texas Tubes.
Great when the weather is punishingly hot
Texas Tubes is one of the most popular summer vacation hot spots for a very good reason - it is one of those affordable activities in Meuseback, New Braunfels TX that most people look forward to regardless of the season. Yes, it is absolutely, without a smidgen of doubt, the kind of outdoor activity that you would return to do it....over and over...and over again. Is it worth it for those who are coming in from other major Texas cities? Our answer is a resounding ‘yes’. It is fun, exciting and relaxing all at the same time! Tubing down the river takes about three hours if you don’t paddle but if you do a bit of the work by paddling, you will get to the end of the ride in half the time.
Can’t complain about free parking and great customer service
Not only is the parking very near to the main lobby of the river but it is also free. I have never, personally, heard of anyone complaining about ‘free parking’ even when they are coming in with their own bus rental Texas charter bus. Wear proper shoes and you will not be bothered with the rocky path (which can be painful for those who attempt to walk to the lobby barefooted). Staff who man the place seems to be very well-trained to deal with the worst of visitors and they make it a point to put your safety and enjoyment as their top priority...always listening out to visitors to see if there are problems they can help with.
Drinking while tubing
One of our bus rental Texas customers was actually pretty frank when he asked if it was OK to drink on the ride. The answer is that alcoholic beverages are (surprisingly) legal on Comal River so, yes, drinking is permitted but one of the things that we are constantly worried about would be disposal of the cans and containers. We would like to remind visitors that we need to help leave the river the way we found it....clean. And by the way, if you are curious about the condition of the river before heading over, the Texas Tubes have a LIVE webcam on so, go check it out!
Tube away
So, if you are ready for this amazing tubing experience and you would like to do it with your family and friends, give Bus Rental Texas a call to find out how we can play a part in your visit. We look forward to hearing from you real soon.

Barton Springs Pool, Austin, Texas

On hot summer days, it is no wonder that people are finding ways to cool themselves down. Groups of friends would make time to meet up for a swim at the beach, or at some indoor pools somewhere. Better yet, for shopping pals, they’d meet up in shopping malls and shop their day away in air-conditioned shopping malls. But if you want some outdoor activity that will help cool you down on a hot summer day, why not rent a Texas bus with some of your friends, pack your swimming attires and head down to the Barton Springs Pool at Zilker Park, Austin, Texas for a cool, chill swim? By the way, this is not an indoor swimming pool, but it’s a natural spring pool that probably looks like some kind of a river with a beautiful park where people hang out and chill.
And since you are going in a group to the Barton Springs Pool in a rented Texas bus, why not pack some picnic lunch as well? That way, you get to spend the whole day there without having to go elsewhere for food – how convenient can it get with an arrangement like this?  In fact, many visitors to the Barton Springs Pool do that – pack and bring their own food to the limestone pool and just chill there the whole day.

In case you didn’t already know, swimming is not the only activity that you will find Texas rented bus passengers do when they go to the Barton Springs Pool. Some of them go there to fish too, but we can’t say for sure how much fishes have been caught though. But, what we do know is that the pool is closed on Thursdays for cleaning and maintenance purposes. They are open from Fridays through Wednesdays and there is a minimal admission fee charged to enter into the pool. However, at any time before 8 in the morning and after 9 in the night, admission is free but at your own risk as they do not have any lifeguards on duty during those times. There are some items that visitors to the pool are not allowed to bring such as alcohol, Frisbees, footballs, soccer balls or any other kind of hard balls. It is also good to keep the place clean as how it was when you first went in – for the benefit of the other users or visitors to the pool.

The Menil Collection (Texas)

The Menil neighborhood of Texas is basically a very typically quiet neighborhood who treasure their privacy and distinctiveness. The museum reflects their refined taste for creative works of art. The neighborhood comprises of some buildings and structures that dates back to the 1920s and 1930s, which are bungalow-style buildings. The originators of the neighborhood, the de Menils, practically had every single building in the neighborhood painted the same color - warm gray. First time Texas charter bus visitors might find the neighborhood lacking at first glance but we assure you that there is a very unified and surreal welcoming spirit if you cared to look a little deeper.
The Menil Collection is a renowned museum that features notable architectural significance. In 1972, Louis Kahn who had just done up the Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth was engaged to come up with the layout for The Menil Collection. Before this, the site and building was merely a residential enclave that dates as far back as 1920s, something that you will instantly notice as you go through the neighborhood in the Texas rented charter bus. When Kahn took over, the residential blocks were asked to remove...hence, the epic beginning of the Menil Collection in Texas. It took Kahn less than a year to complete this pet project of his.
The building itself may serve as a piece of art itself but there are many sculptures placed around the museum’s park and exterior - these are artistic contributions from the likes of A. Jim Love, B. Max Neuhaus, C. Michael Heizer, G. Mark di Suvero, H. Barnett Newman and the Tony Smith sculpture.
As you step into the museum from the mini bus that you are traveling in, you will realize something very unique about the museum - all the exhibits are displayed and bathed in natural light through the windows and not from from artificial lighting like any other typical museum. The artist herself did the paintings and artwork in natural light and that is how she wants to project it to people who see her artwork - in natural light. Engineers have been brought in from time to time to measure and control the damage and intensity of the atmospheric light.
The feeling you get from visiting a museum if The Menil Collection is very different from when you are walking through other museums. There is something very intense and yet natural about the experience. You want to walk through it slowly and there is no need to forcefully feel anything. You don’t panic if you don’t understand what the artist is trying to tell you through her artwork. Perhaps, it has got to do with how insistent the artist was about using natural light, or maybe it is her passion that was brought out in her masterpieces that subconsciously engulfed us as we walked through it. This attraction is one that you will remember the most for the whole charter bus rental vacation.

Five Star Barbeques from the Lone Star state

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that apparently includes their barbeques. For bigger seats and bigger comfort for both, bus or limo, you’re in luck if you’ve booked your journey with Bus Rental Texas. Texans claim their unique style of barbeque is legendary and unique as much as it is delicious.
And with the unique style comes barbeque pits, joints and meat shops that will make your mouth water and your heart stop. Just don’t be surprised when the restaurant doesn’t offer plates or cutlery.
Luling City Market in Houston, offers up a consistently succulent and distinct Central Texas barbeque style barbeque with all their meat cooked over Post Oak wood in specially designed pits for a consistently succulent and distinct barbeque, all served up to Texas charter bus visitors with delicious sauce. Be sure to order the ribs and the sausage and remember to arrive well before their 6pm closing time. Goode Company in Houston, has been offering some of the best mesquite smoked barbeque in the state for almost 30 years and has become synonymous with ‘fall –off-the-bone’ barbeque in Central Texas.
Ever since Snow’s BBQ in Lexington, was been named in “Texas Monthly the best barbeque joint in the state, good barbeque, good service, and friendly people have helped to keep the fire burning. Go early, because the barbeque usually runs out noon. Gatlin’s BBQ in Houston, is famous for their ribs and brisket but it’s their tender, mouth-wateringly flavorful, and beautifully seasoned ‘fall-off-the bone’ quality of their ribs that define what Texas barbeque is all about! Meanwhile over in Lockhart, Smitty’s Market has been serving up superbly smoked barbeque since 1948 ensuring that the Kreuz family style barbeque is strictly adhered to.
Over in Elgin, Meyer’s Elgin Smokehouse makes a delicious item that stands head and shoulders above the rest – their sausage. The recipe has been passed generation to generation, and in 1949 R.G. Meyer was persuaded by his sausage fans to start Meyer’s Sausage Company. Since then, Meyer’s has gone on to produce all sorts of delicious and mouth-watering barbeque; just be sure to try the sausage! Pierson & Company Bar-B-Que in Houston, prides itself in tender, delicious mesquite-smoked barbeque. The best item on the menu at Pierson’s is the barbeque pork butt. It’s consistently delicious on its own or with sides.
For barbeque done a little differently using direct-heat cooking meathods, visit Cooper’s BBQ in Llano where the Wootan family’s ‘cowboy style’ of cooking gives a profoundly fresh and juicy flavor to all of their meats, and their extra thick cuts ensure nothing is ever over-cooked. Just be sure to try their over-sized pork chops. You won’t regret it!
Your tastebuds must be screaming to be let loose on a juicy barbeque right now, so make your reservation by bus or limo for your journey to barbeque heaven in Texas today with Bus Rental Texas and eat to your heart’s content.
